March 16, 2011 -- Software Testing Solutions announced today that it will participate in the “Meaningful Use of IT: Becoming Leaders in Innovation” panel at the iHT2 Health IT Summit in Atlanta, April 5-6, 2011. The Summit is hosted by The Institute for Health Technology Transformation (iHT2).

Speaking on behalf of Software Testing Solutions will be Jennifer Lyle, CEO, Software Testing Solutions. The panel will be taking a bold look at the state of the healthcare system at present, examine the critical next steps for moving forward as meaningful users of health IT, and leading the charge to innovate beyond the minimum set by meaningful use.

“ARRA, with the move toward EHRs and computerized provider order entry, is giving us an unprecedented opportunity to get more and better technology out there and drive quality care,“ says Lyle. “However, it’s going to present challenges along the way. The tolerance for error in our industry is very small. We need to ensure that patient safety and improved outcomes is the priority as we bring these exciting new technologies and innovations to market.”

Software Testing Solutions will be joining over 200 CIOs, VPs, and directors of IT from hospitals, health systems, and larger physician practices at the iHT2 Health IT Summit in Atlanta. Attendees will be gathering to network and discuss the latest trends and challenges in health IT. Topics discussed will include meaningful use, privacy and security, interoperability, health information exchange, cloud computing, and more.

Sponsors and partners for the iHT2 Health IT Summit in Atlanta include: Axolotl, Catalyst, DecisionOne, DICOM Grid, EDIMS, EMC, Global Net Access, Holon Solutions, Intel, MEDai, MEDSEEK, MMR Global, RelayHealth, Software Testing Solutions, AMDIS, CMIO, eHealth SmartBrief, Frost & Sullivan, IDC Health Insights, MobiHealthNews, SearchHealthIT.com, and many more.

Jan. 12, 2011 -- Software Testing Solutions (STS) announced today the launching of its Ratio Suite of solutions that are designed to test the functionality of computerized provider order entry (CPOE) software systems used by hospitals and physician practices. The :RATIO suite of solutions are currently available to test CPOE systems from Eclipsys, Epic and Cerner.

STS' :RATIO suite of solutions simplify the testing of healthcare software following implementation, upgrades and patches. What used to take an entire team weeks or months to accomplish is now handled automatically by a single software solution. The result is software testing with predictable time and costs.

"Our :RATIO suite of solutions automate the testing process, eliminating the inherent human-error factor of manual testing," said Jennifer Lyle, CEO of STS. "An increasing number of hospitals are implementing CPOE systems, yet lack the time, expertise or resources to test the entire functionality of the systems before clinicians begin using them. With :RATIO, the testing is quick, easy and repeatable, and configuring the solution is easily accomplished with drop-down menus."

:RATIO solutions automate CPOE software testing through simulations that place all available clinician orders into the CPOE system, in every conceivable combination. Results returned by the system are verified by :RATIO, as are quality assurance messages. Software testing can take place automatically during off-peak hours or overnight. Results from all orders placed and the results that are received can be analyzed by :RATIO's robust reporting package.

Throughout the year the club’s activities for children include an annual Halloween event, providing a safe environment and fostering creativity by awarding prizes for costumes, sponsorship of local children’s sports teams, and support materials for children at the local hospital. The club is also active in the community through Habitat for Humanity projects, support of local a local homeless shelter, Sheppard’s Place, and local Adopt-a-Highway. During the holidays we are busy with activities such as ringing bells for the Salvation Army, serving hot chocolate at the City of Dover Christmas Tree Lighting and collecting / donating for a local food bank for Christmas dinners.

The club also sponsors a number of Kiwanis associated clubs at local High Schools, colleges and with special needs adults in the community – helping to foster volunteerism in the community at all levels.

Software Testing Solutions announces that it has donated $500 to Tucson’s Youth on Their Own, an organization that assists homeless women and men ages 13 through 21 who are struggling to continue their education.

“Our company’s mission is to give our customers the best product and technical support available in the industry, which in turn enhances their work experience. Another important goal is to support charitable organizations that focus on improving the lives of others,” said Jennifer Lyle, CEO of STS.

A staggering 30% of all ninth grade students are unable to achieve their goal of earning a high school diploma. The reasons are many and include the lack of a parent or guardian, an unstable or non-existent home environment, substance abuse and unplanned teen pregnancy. Those accepted into the Youth on Their Own program sign a contract pledging to attend school regularly, maintain a C average, engage in volunteer activities and/or after-school programs and remain drug-free.

Company donates $6,000 to the Southern Arizona Humane Society

On Wed., March 12, 2008, Southern Arizonans watched the news in horror at the discovery of approximately 800 dogs in a triple wide mobile home in Avra Valley, Ariz, just up the road from Tucson. The dogs were small breed dogs, from chihuahuas to terriers and pomeranians. They were found living in deplorable conditions. The floor was soaked with urine and feces, and some dogs were missing paws due to animal attacks, or having been caught in fencing. Some of the female dogs were pregnant and were in the middle of labor during their transit to various shelters. Fortunately, most of the dogs were found in pretty good shape, but all were in need of some degree of medical attention, a vaccination and plenty of TLC.

752 dogs were confiscated that day, of which 100 went to a rescue shelter in Phoenix and 300 were sent to rescue groups throughout the nation. The remaining dogs were taken in by The Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSAZ). Accommodating this large amount of dogs would have been a daunting task on its own, and the HSSAZ was already struggling to shelter a group of about 150 pit bulls who had been confiscated back in February from breeders who were training them to fight. Despite discouraging conditions, HSSAZ not only managed to shelter this overwhelming number of dogs, it also managed to find homes for all the affected animals found in the Avra Valley hoarding incident. (We are saddened to say that not all of the pit bulls were quite as lucky.)

The HSSAZ credits the Tucson and neighboring communities for their generous contributions and their willingness to open their homes and hearts during this horrific event. Although the Humane Society handled this operation in stride, it will ultimately end up costing them over $400,000.

As avid animal lovers here at STS, we couldn’t sit back and watch such a tragedy occur in our own backyard without getting involved. Knowing that the Society operates solely on donations, it was our pleasure to donate $6,000 as our way of giving back to this extremely worthwhile cause. We wish there was more we could do in an effort to help those animals who have not yet been adopted.
